There's a hole in my what?

Cutting board.  And yes, it's supposed to be there!  What could be more convenient (or appreciated!) than being able to wipe crumbs and cut-off ends from your cutting board directly into your wastebasket?

HER Home Thouhgt of the Day

Cornered
Does your kitchen design include an "L-shaped" run of cabinets? Then you've got an important decision to make-what to do with the corner cabinet.

For those who have not experienced corner cabinets before, items just seem to disappear in there. So you get down on your hands and knees to hunt for that item you know you stashed in there...

...or you can look at other options such as these Merillat solutions.

Dualing Master suites?

We would like your feed back on the idea for us 55 plus people who are considering downsizing options.  A new concept but maybe one that has come of age.
HER Home Thouhgt of the Day

Beyond Three Bedrooms

Design Basics' "Hester" is a popular 3-bedroom family plan. It's also possible to build this home with a second master suite, shown as the "Sadie" plan. (Yes, the dual owner's-suite version does utilize storage space from the original design's garage, but if doing this conversion as a remodel, the contractor will build that closet floor accordingly.)

Whether new construction or remodeling, dual owner's suites and independent in-law suites are increasingly in demand. It might amaze you to find out just how many committed, happy couples choose not to share the same bedroom. It could be conflicting schedules, medical conditions or simply snoring, but the need for getting a good night's sleep is paramount to a good life.
